15. THE LAST SUPPER: MATTHEW 26:20-29, MARK 14:17-21, LUKE 22:14-23

Through historical research, Wallace found in Christ's day, people ate in a semi-reclining position in the Roman tradition. Note the light coming through the window symbolizing God's light. It envelops Jesus and combined with Jesus' light emanates to the disciples where it reflects back to us from all but one of them.

Note: In her historical research, Wallace found many photos of what is considered to be the Upper Room. Simplifying these photos to windows, wall and floor served as inspiration for this painting.
